Statistics show that female gamers are actually more common (and sociable). Now, saying that they're "rare" is more of a stereotype. (I can't think of a better word.)
Seriously, a clothes-swap NPC might help. (Swaps girls version of a piece of clothing for the boys equivalent and vice-versa.)Status: Quit FR since I never liked FR at all. Will probably not post anymore.

Maybe it's just because a) I'm a girl behind the boy character, b) I like collecting / having one of *everything* but the opposite gender clothing issue doesn't bother me too much. IMO getting girl stuff that I can't wear is the same as getting another shard/tunic/necklace etc that I can't/won't wear -- Luck of the draw. I can't wear two necklaces, or two pairs of boots, even if they are my gender.
