Buildings that create their own elctricity?Some bold architects are already working on this idea by using
wind and solar power.The World Trade Center building in Bahrain(an island nation in the Persian Gulf) is
the first skyskraper in the world to use wind power as part of its design.Three 95-foot-wide(29-m)turbines,
hundreds of feet up,connect the two towers.The787-foot-tall(240-m) building was positioned and shaped to aim the wind into the turbines,wich can produce about 15% of the electrical needs for all 50 floors.

One company has plans for a building in Chicago that will use dozens of wind turbines along with
a solar shell on the top of the building.Calling it the Clean Technology Tower (CTT),the planners hope
the building will create all of the electricity it needs.
