Happy Memorial Day Weekend, America! Today is the Indy 500 (the Indianapolis 500) one of the most famous race days around the world. It's a race of 200 laps or 500 miles (804km for the rest of us). The racing for the 500 started in 1911 and is still held yearly to this day--in fact it will be celebrating 100 years of racing today! The first ICS race was in 1996.
