    Default Increasing Running Speed...

Ok, so with SOE shameful lack of showing the stats on most items, I want to know what items are currently available that increase our running speed.

Most of the food we are able to make as a Chef has stat buffs associated with them. They have only just recently had the stats added to their descriptions. The "Royal Stew Du Jour" has a speed increase.

I have also just finished the Postman Collection today for the "Rudolfo's Speedy Kicks" which gives a very nice speed boost But once again the stats aren't there to see, as with all items of clothing.

There is also a jacket available on the SC Market that increases speed (so I've heard) and happy pets give you a boost too. Is the pet boost constant or a time restricted power-up?

So the list currently stands at:

    • Royal Stew Du Jour +50% Speed
    • Rudolfo's Speedy Kicks (I read +40% speed, but would believe it to be more +140%)
    • Sgt. Stepper Jacket UNKNOWN
    • Happy Pets (Suggested at +50%)

    So is there anything else?

I'll keep my eyes out for speed increases. It sure would be nice to be able to do this more.

The pet boost is there as long as the pet's stats are at least at 80%

We should have a race, with someone with each boost and then someone with no boost for a control.

You have to have lvl 20 Pet Trainer and have finished the entire pet trainer quest line to recieve the speed buff from your pets when they are happy

Already done that for the speedy kicks and the pet boost. (Need to race a person with speedy kickers) Sorry, the control was the speedy kicks.
I also beleive that you can't have the pet boost and a food speed boost at the same time, which leads me to beleive that they are the same boost.

So what about the "Sgt. Stepper Jacket" from the SC Market?

Rudolfo's Speedy Kicks are stated to give a 40% boost, while the Royal Stew Du Jour gives +50%. This is wrong somewhere along the line. I know for a fact the the Rudolfo's Speedy Kicks are much faster than the Royal Stew Du Jour. Does anyone know the real stats yet?

    If we say that the
Royal Stew Du Jour and Pet Boost is the same percentage, then the advantages/disadvantages against the two are as follows:

    Royal Stew Du Jour
+ Anyone can eat it, regardless of level.
+ It is a constant buff for 30 minutes.
+ Can be taken into combat.
+ Easily obtained from myself, who is the no1. mass producer of the
Royal Stew Du Jour (1700 coin per stack of 10)
    - Cancelled out by the Pet speed boost (Can anyone confirm this please?)
    - Cancelled after a knockout

    Pet Speed Boost (
Can anyone confirm the following please?)
    - Level 20 pet trainer is required.
    - Pet trainer questline required to be complete.

    - Pet happiness required to be 80%+
    - Cannot be taken into combat.
    - Pets require real-life £/$ to buy.
+ You gain a fury companion by your side.

So currently the setup for best speed would be in your postman job with
Rudolfo's Speedy Kicks, Sgt. Stepper Jacket (More info is needed), and the Royal Stew Du Jour buff.
We are going to need more research and testing to confirm all the boosts and buffs, but this is a good start.

Thats because they can only be equiped by the Postman job. You need to be a Postman (Level 20) with the boots equipped before you see the benefit.

Hmm, assuming that you're lvlv 20, it'll only work for postman and are you sure it's the Rudolfo's speedy kicks from the postman collections?

Also, about pets, there are multiple ways to get one. SC, a starter card (gives you 250SC), or a TCG Starter box. Also, you can get a lot of the supplies for free as well (ie. one of the miner's in snowhill's mines gives 5x daredevil conditioner and is repeatable). Plus, there's the added benefit of them helping you find collections and buried treasure (see my other thread). Finally, the fury companion is a big part for this dog lover that can't have a dog right now due to my lease. So all in all, there are enough benefits to having a pet even without the speed boost.
