Default spins of the wheel on smelting gold

I did this only on smelting gold and only at the smelter in Briarwood,
so I can't say if all wheels are programmed in this manner for all smelting
    and mining mini games.

I smelted gold ore into gold bars 30 times in a row at the smelter in
Briarwood at the entrance to the gold mine.

Of 30 times - It landed on coins 17 times, on sparkling ham and
cheese 10 times, on drift miner boots twice, on miner's power shard
of talent V once and on subsurface miners boots once.

If the wheel were purely random this pattern might have occurred
the first ten times, but not 20 and then 30 times in a row.

So far, it indicates that the wheel for smelting at this location
is programmed to land on coins 55% or more. That it's then
programmed to land on Sparkling Ham and Cheese 33% or
1/3 of the time. This means you have a 10 to 15% chance
of getting something other then coin or Sparkling Ham and Cheese.

I intend to do this again at the same location to double check
on this. So far After all the smelting tonight and previoues
nights - I've yet to get the one thing I need - the fully loaded
    miner boots.

I also intend to try other mini game wheels to see what
percentage yield gets certain prizes - if indeed all the wheels
are programmed to give out a certain percentage of coin and
food before you even get a chance at other prizes or not.

I also found that no matter how many bonus's I earned
during the smelting process, or if I smelted 4 or 5 gold bars -
did not affect the coin outcome or prize outcome. The
amount of coins received was always 66. It took 36
coins worth to smelt each time (buying briarblaze).
This means a profit of 30 coins each time you smelt
and land on coins. More if you land on an item worth
more such as the miner's power shard of talent V,
    and then sell the item.

So for this particular smelter area - bonus's earned from
for instance - crushing all gold ore under 11 seconds -
will not earn you more coin or prizes.

I've actually made my own theory about how the wheel works, which would definitely explain why some items are (a lot) more common than others.
Basically, hitting the button produces a random "power" (term only for this theory), which decreases with each item that passes the claim spot. Each item decreases the power by a different amount. So more common items would decrease the power much more than, say, a piece of clothing, to make the wheel land on them. I actually think they use a similar concept since the wheel seems to slow at a different pace depending on what it passes.

Anyway, that's quite a bit of research you've done. I land on coins 25/33 of my tries.
Status: Quit FR since I never liked FR at all. Will probably not post anymore.

I've had some more reasonable returns on mail sorting lately and I'm seeing less lemons but yeah, they're all fixed, some worse than others. Blacksmith is very bad. So is miner for rich gold. I'm just not going there until they make it better. Stoneheart Hideaway may be fixed for cheap stuff and biased against coin.

I've still been unable to get the NEW advanced 20th lvl miner equipment on the wheel smelting gold or mining it. That wheel NEVER lands on them - I've now tried over a thousand times. I think I'll give up for a while.

I know, I don't understand how we are supposed to get the new level 20 gear if the wheal won't give it to us. I mean I like coins, but I'd like other things too.

I really like this theory as I have played games that just rely on percentages (like weal of wow on webkinz) but they all have the weal look exactly the same each time and then it just has a different vidio for each prize,l but these weals are different every time you play but still are rigged.

You've not got any level 20 gear after 1,000 tries?!?!? It took me 116 tries on making bars to get the level 20 miner boots. Got coins 78 times, Cheese and Ham 26 times, Talent Power Shard 5 times, Drift Boots 4 times and Subsurface Boots 2 times. its alien compared to the combat wheel! A 50% chance of Coins and even for everything else seems correct. I did not count, but I must have done croaking vale for power hour thousands of times!

    Interesting...

i'm studying wheels too, and on 100 rolls it lands 57 on coins, 17 on ham, and the rest scattered around....if i can try a graphic with ascii art...

$ is coins, H is ham, and C is the rest of items

    $$$$$$$$$$$$HHHCCC
