Free Realms is now available on the PSP! Though, not in the way you think

Today, DC Comics announced that they are now available on the PSP's PlayStation Network Digital Comic store. What does that mean for Free Realms players? Since the Free Realms comics are under Wildstorm Comics, a DC Comics brand, they are also available to view on your PSP!

Issues #1 & #2 are now out on the PlayStation Network to download, and there's some plus sides to the digital versions, such as much easier to bring with you everywhere, no need to worry about messing up the pages, no advertisements between pages, don't have to go all the way down to your local comic book shop just to check if they even have them or not...

They're also real cheap: Just $0.99! Yep, 99 cents an issue compared to $3.99 for the physical copy!
Not in the US? No problem! They're also available in other countries, like the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, and more! Now is your chance to check out the comics if you never got to read them!

The only downside? These digital issues do not include a virtual reward comic code. It would have been nice if they emailed it to you after you purchase them, but that does not seem to be the case. It also would be cool if they gave out the first Free Realms comic for free. They released several comics on the PSN store for free, and they are a good way to spread the word. Being that this is a comic based on a free online Sony game, the least they could do is release it for free on a Sony platform.

To check them out, all you need is a PSP with the latest firmware update (version 6.20) downloaded either right on your PSP or using a PC, then download the Digital Comics Reader straight to your PSP or via PC, then look out for the Free Realms comics and more on the PlayStation Network Store on, you guessed it, the PSP or on your PC.

If you just wanted to read the comics, this is a great way to do so. The AutoFlow view nicely goes from panel to panel, or you can view it however you want by zooming in and out of the page. And again: None of the page-sized advertisements in the physical issues are in the digital comics to interrupt you.
